Kalabhavan Mani and Guinness Pakru (Ajaya Kumar) are to play the key roles in Achchan Balan Makan Bheeman, to be directed by debutant K.K.Kailas. Kailas, who was hitherto known as Kailas Thrippunithura and who has been an art-director, casts in his debut film Kalabhavan Mani as a father and Pakru as his son. Achchan Balan Makan Bheeman is produced under the banner of Raj Creations and features story by Sabeer and script by Biju Thevarmadam. Ananya, who is getting busy after Nadodigal (Tamil) is the heroine.
Constable held for circulating obscene video in Andhra Pradesh
A constable was on October 14 arrested and suspended on charges of possessing and circulating obscene video through his mobile phone in Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam district.
M. B. Shakil, a native of Ongole town and attached to the special party of the district police, allegedly “filmed his sexual act” on his mobile phone and circulated the same among his colleagues and friends, a senior police officer said.
“After the porn video matter came to light, the constable was immediately suspended pending further investigation and was also arrested,” he said.
Prithviraj in Vijayashankar’s debut movie
Prithviraj is reportedly all set to do the lead role in a film by debutant director Vijayashankar, the son of scenarist-director Lohithadas, who passed away recently. Vijayashankar himself will be penning the script for the movie, which will narrate the story of the intense relation between a son and a father. Seems Vijayashankar is following in the footsteps of his father, many of Lohithadas’ movies had this theme. Sathyaraj will be playing a key role in the film, which will also have Bhavana and Khusboo in pivotal roles. It’s also heard that Vijayashankar is planning a movie in the Arab language.

Subramaniapuram fame director-actor Sasikumar is all set to make his next film, Nagaram, set against the backdrop of Chennai. An interesting aspect of this film reportedly is that its ten characters who take the story forward, are getting equal prominence. And no, Sasikumar is not acting in the movie; he will only be directing it. It’s really interesting to note that Sasikumar, who had come up with a completely rural subject in Subramaniapuram takes to the urban setting this time.

Actress Swathi, who’s popular as ‘Colours’ Swathi, was lucky enough to bag the role of the heroine in Subramaniapuram, the film that made her quite popular. And now, the recent buzz is that she is to play heroine to none other than Vikram, in a film to be directed by Selvaraghavan. The film, to be produced by Kanakarathna Ramesh, is in its initial stage of discussion and scripting.
