Johnny Mastana is the story of John (played by Amitabh Bachchan) who is on the move hitchhiking his way across the nation. Bachchan has a very interesting look in the film, with long white hair and beard styled by Susan, a UK-based stylist.
Earlier titled Shoebite, the title was changed to Johnny Mastana as the filmmakers thought that not every audience could connect to it and Amitabh Bachchan is also called Johnny Mastana by his friends in the film. Bachchan and Sarika play husband and wife.
The cast also includes Dia Mirza, who plays a businessman’s daughter and is married to Jimmy Sheirgill, a UK-based businessman. Johnny… which was shot across cities like Manali, Shimla, Nashik, Kanyakumari and Hyderabad is complete and the release date is being worked out.
