Ashtavinayak signs Anthony D’Souza again
Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. has signed on Blue director Anthony D’Souza for another project that will be an action thriller. “It will take me eight months to work on the script,” said D’Souza. Although his wish-list includes Blue cast and John Abraham, he stresses that “nothing is finalised” yet. Meant to be an aerial action thriller that will turn into an underwater adventure eventually, D’Souza isn’t saying if this will be a sequel to Blue. It will go on the floors in the second half of 2010.

‘U’ certificate for Aladin
Director Sujoy Ghosh is glad that his fantasy adventure Aladin had been granted a U certificate by the CBFC, “This was always expected since there are no violence, nudity or obscenity in the film. This was always meant to be a family film and our vision was in that direction from day one. Even though the basic essence of Aladin comes from the children’s tales that we have heard for decades, the narrative has been spiced up to gain enough attention from adults as well.” Amitabh Bachchan plays the genie while Riteish Deshmukh essays the title role and Jacqueline Fernandez the role of pricess Jasmine. Sanjay Dutt is the baddie. The film releases on October 30.
