The best part is that you don’t need to be educated to take part in the show. This format does not challenge one’s intelligence and so it does not embarrass me. My contestants are questioning me back.
We hear you have been giving away your personal stuff.
Not yet. On the contrary, I have been getting gifts from the contestants.
With so much money riding, is there a lot of pressure on you?
I don’t take on pressure, but yes, there is a lot of that. The worst part is the long working hours.
Shah Rukh Khan’s Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hai and your 10 Ka Dum are pitted against each other…
There is no competition between Shah Rukh and me. Our styles are different. Shah Rukh is a friend.
Which of your famous friends do you want to invite on your show?
I want to call many of them but Sony has to extend the invitation. I can’t take names.
What about inviting Shah Rukh?
Why not? I took part in his Kaun Banega Crorepati and I loved his style as a host.
Do you watch television otherwise?
I watch anything on television and I hate it when people switch channels. Even if it’s Sun TV that is on, I get totally involved.
Are you writing a blog to promote 10 Ka Dum?
I just wanted to write and the channel decided to publish it in the form of an interesting blog. I could not have started a blog, since I don’t even know how to switch on a computer.
Do you want to return to television once 10 Ka Dum is over?
No. I will be back to shooting for Yuvraaj.
What made you sport a ponytail?
I’m trying to grow my hair. It has grown from the back so I thought of tying it up. You remember my old look in films like Saajan? I want to get back to that look.
