This refers to your editorial ‘Love stories: The reel and the real’ (Screen February 15-21, 2008). Many persons including stars (actors and actresses) get attracted to each other and wish to marry but due to so many reasons they are unable to do so. Though some are lucky to get married here, very few of such cases are converted into marriage and mostly they get married successfully to some other person. This is hard fact of life. Yes, real life is quite different from real life. Also a person who runs away from parents and gets married is, in fact, a relief for parents as they cannot be blamed for failure in their married life, if any! With these words, I would say that it is good to read that “Shahid Kapoor says that his break with Kareena is not the end of personal life and that he’s looking forward to falling in love again.
