Recently more in the news for his breakup with girl friend Kareena Kapoor than his films, actor Shahid Kapur does not take rumours linking him with either tennis player Sania Mirza or fellow actor Vidya Balan seriously.

"I do not take these issues seriously. Vidya and I don't discuss the rumours linking us. I know Sania (Mirza)," he said in Mumbai.

I would like to keep my personal life private, he added.

Shahid said initially he had apprehensions about working with Balan in Aziz Mirza's Kismet Konnection, releasing this Friday.

"But Mirza was very sure that he wanted a good actress with a girl next door image. Vidya fitted the cast perfectly. I am happy with the way our pair looks on screen," he added.

Talking about his last release Jab We Met, he said it was an important milestone in his career despite the fact that co-star Kareena Kapoor walked away with all the accolades and awards.

"What is more important is that I was a part of a good film. Jab We Met made me have faith in myself. More than awards, I feel the audience reaction to my performance is what satisfied me the most," he said.

Shahid feels his character in Kismet Konnection is in complete contrast to what he played in Jab We Met.

A trained dancer Shahid said he is wary of dancing just because he is a good dancer.

His next film with Ken Ghosh is a musical and he plays a dancer in the movie. "I am sure I will be able to display my dancing skills in the movie," Shahid quipped.

Expressing his unawareness about the delay in Boney Kapoor's Milenge Milenge with ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor, he said, "the dubbing for the film has not yet taken place."

The Bollywood chocolate boy said last two years have been professionally good for him. "At present, I am focused on my career and concentrating to give my best."

On doing fewer films, Shahid said he likes to concentrate on one film at a time and did not want to be repetitive.

Talking about his forthcoming films, he said Vishal Bharadwaj's Kameene with Priyanka Chopra, Ken Ghosh's untitled film and a film opposite Rani Mukherji under Yashraj banner will go on floor soon.
