Aamir said he has been working relentlessly for the last six months to make the DVD package special. He has included various value adds to make the DVD, a collector's item.
The DVD box contains the film's background score, one hour show of educators, principals, teachers and parents talking about various learning disabilities of a child, deleted scenes with an explanation of why they don't feature in the film in Aamir's voice.
The DVD also has 'director's commentary' by Aamir on why he chose this subject and its significance. "There are two important paintings that change the protagonist-Ishaan Avasthi's life in the film--his flip book and pencil. Besides, there are 100 pictures from behind the scenes with each one having a customized caption by Aamir himself.
Aamir said his blog is testimonial of the number of requests he has been getting to launch the film's DVD soon.
His production house's first film Lagaan was launched in DVD format after almost six years of its theatrical release.
