The court said he will not have to appear before the Jaipur court and will be free to visit and leave the country.
The Court said the complaint filed against Gere was just a "publicity hunting" and there were no need for issuing the arrest warrant.
"The court has no business to issue the arrest warrant," a Bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan said pointing out that the complainant had not even given a proper address of Gere in the complaint.
The warrant has been issued to a person whose address was not given, the Bench said.
"What power has the Magistrate to issue the warrant when address is not given in the complaint," the Bench asked.
"The filing of such complaint and order brings bad name to the country," the Bench said.
