His debut film as producer-director and actor Bhavnao Ko Samjho with fellow comedian Naveen Prabhakar in the lead went on floors last week.
Talking about his new endeavour, Sunil said the concept of making a comedy film was always in his mind. "I decided to make the film with stand-up comedians from the laughter challenge show with whom I had become friends. In my film, there are 54 actors and all the male artistes are stand-up comedy artistes," he said.
Speaking about his film, Sunil said Bhavanao Ko Samjho is a comedy and emotional film with the target audience being the youth.
Debutante actress Sanghamitra is paired opposite Naveen Prabhakar. 'Item girl' and now television host Rakhi Sawant also plays a pivotal role in the movie, he added.
Sunil said being a stand-up comedian, film making comes easily. "As a stand-up comedian, I have to perform all roles of a filmmaker-write, edit, mix my lines and dialogues and direct myself," he added.
Sunil plans to approach the Guinness Book of World records after he completes the shooting and releases it at the end of this year.
"This is the first time a film is featuring all stand-up comedians. There are female comedians as well. This is a record of sorts and I will also urge the government to help me in getting into the record books," he added.
Replying to a question, his comedy in the film will be clean and unadulterated. "If the audience watches it without the families, they will regret," he said.
