Writer-director Anees Bazmi is a happy man. His forthcoming release Singh is Kinng is already grabbing headlines, thanks to Manmohan Singh government's victory during the trust vote in Lok Sabha.

Bazmi's film title and its song has garnered ample publicity, with television channels and newspapers flashing it all over on Wednesday, after the UPA government won the trust motion with a comfortable margin on Tuesday.

"What more can I ask for... this is good publicity..I think use of the title song from my film was appropriate since the Prime Minister is a Singh. My film's protagonist is a person with a positive thinking and attitude, one who understands others problems and helps people...and moreover he is a Sikh," Anees Bazmi said in Mumbai on Wednesday.

The filmmaker said Singh is Kinng is not an out and out comedy like his previous No Entry and Welcome. "It is comedy as well as an emotional love story," he said.

Bazmi has no plans to stick to the comedy genre. "It was just a coincidence that my last three films including Singh is Kinng are comedies. I had made a love story (Pyar to Hona Hi Tha) and a thriller (Deewanapan) before No Entry," he said.

The director, who has written the script of his next film It's my Life stars Harman Baweja and Genelia D'Souza. "This is a romantic film produced by actor Sanjay Kapoor. Boney Kapoor is presenting the film," he said.

"I will begin shooting for it from August 13. The film will be ready within a year," he added.

Replying to questions, Anees said Harman, despite the debacle of his debut film Love Story 2050, was a good actor and has a bright future. "His character in my film is about a simple boy who the audience will identify with. His debut film presented him in a larger than life canvass," he said.

Anees said Harman has been accepted by the audience and he has no fears about casting the actor in his film.

He felt comparisons with Hrithik will harm Harman's career prospects.

"Hrithik is a huge hero who has already proved his credentials and established himself. Harman should be judged by his work and not his looks," he said.

Speaking about Akshay Kumar, Anees said the actor was co-producing Singh is Kinng with Vipul Shah. "Akshay is a non-interfering person and has complete faith in the director he is working with," he added.

The director who has cast Katrina Kaif in Singh is Kinng said that she was evolving as a good actress. "She is a hard working girl and has improved upon her Hindi language and diction. Also, Akshay-Katrina pair looks good on screen," he added.

When asked about the USP of It's my Life, Anees said the film was a normal love story but the reason of conflict in the film will be presented in a unique manner and audience will like it.

To a question on audience and critics reaction that Welcome was not as well made as No Entry in terms of content, Anees said, "Welcome earned more money than No Entry and that is what matters to me. I try to ensure that my films do not look the same. Singh is Kinng would be better than the two."
