Soul Fusion
NSoul Fusion is a rare fusion of tradition with modernity, of learning and skill with creativity and genius, of body and soul and finally of the East and West. Tauseef Akhtar and Cheryl come together in a rare meeting of traditions, languages, minds and aesthetics. The balance of melody and harmony, the play of power and softness, the alchemy of sensuality and intellect and finally the dialogue of styles, eras and languages creates an experience that God’s World is One. Soul Fusion has drawn from very diverse musical genres to arrive at a unique, hitherto unheard sound and musical structure.

Tauseef Akhtar was born to a venerated lineage of Indian musicians. He is the son of Akhtar Azad, the celebrated exponent of traditional qawwali. To his genetic inheritance he has added training under formidable titans like Ustad Dilshad Khan, Parveen Sultana, Jagjit Singh and Pt. Govind Prasad Jaipurwale.
