Reel sister’s real-life bond
It’s not new that long hours of work in television do bring people together or keep them apart. Actress Mouli Ganguli who returns to the tube after a long break has found a friend and a little sister in newcomer Vinny Arora. The duo play sisters in Aathvan Vachan airing on Sony from September 1. Vinny plays the character of Urmi who is an 8-year old in the body of an 18 year old and Mouli her loving sister Manali. Vinny confides in Mouli and fondly calls Mouli ‘Mouli di’ and Mouli in return has nicknamed her ‘chutki’. The girls are seen having a blast together on the sets. Vinny says “Vishal (Vishal Singh) is like my buddy but Mouli is my Mouli di. It’s great to be part of such a nice team.” Mouli too reciprocates and says, “I think I have taken my character of playing the elder sister very seriously. Vinny and I share a very warm relationship, we travel , share food and hang around together. It feels really good as I don’t have a younger sister, she completes this relation now. She trusts me and often asks for suggestions and feedback while working on her scenes. I’m glad that after a very long time I’m working with a friendly, home-like unit and have a great bond with my co-stars”
Saroj Khan replaces Apara Mehta
Apara Mehta has been ousted from Star Plus’ Ajaa Mahi Vay because her presence has apparently not been received very well. Saroj Khan is replacing Apara as the judge from September 5. Earlier the veteran choreographer had judged Nach Baliye. Her judging skills and profound knowledge of dance makes her the appropriate replacement. Ajaa Mahi Vay has reached a crucial stage where all the contestants are giving their best performances in order to impress the judges and win a grand wedding.
