Richa Sharma’s musical birthday

From Sunidhi Chauhan and Kailash Kher to Prasoon Joshi, Babul Supriyo and Adnan Sami - everyone performed at singer Richa Sharma’s birthday party held recently at a Mumbai suburban restobar on August 29. The party was attended by Adnan Sami, Pallavi Joshi, Vivek Agnihotri, Durga Jasraj, Anita and Pooja Kanwal, Aadesh Srivastava, Udit Narayan, Mahalakshmi Iyer, Ashoke Pandit, Sachin, Madhushree, Lalit Sen and others.
Said Richa, “My birthday is an opportune moment to catch up and bond with all my friends whom I haven’t been able to meet in a long time due to their busy work schedules and other commitments. It’s a great feeling to usher in one’s birthday amidst all the well-wishers who have stood by my side all these years and are an integral part of my life now.”

Dashavatar on Home Video
Shemaroo Entertain-ment has released the animation film Dashavatar on VCDs and DVDs. Directed by Bhavik Thakore, Dashavatar explores the origin and the dynamism of the various avtaars of Lord Vishnu, packed with action and adventure.
This series of heroic exploits of Lord Vishnu is woven into an interesting narrative, with an outstanding quality of animation, voices of many acclaimed actors and melodious music. Shatrughan Sinha’s narration certainly adds value to this fascinating storytelling pattern.
The movie is of approximately 120 minutes and the DVD has English sub-titles. It also comes along with a set of tattoos, where children can get themselves tattooed on their own. The DVD is also inclusive of a booklet, which is informative as it describes each of the ten avtaars of Lord Vishnu.
Popular actors like Sachin Khedekar, Shreyas Talpade, Rupali Ganguly, Tom Alter and Ashish Vidyarthi among others have lent their voices in this animation film. Apart from these, the playback singers for the music by Anand Kurhekar include Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, K.K., Kunal Ganjawala, Shreya Ghoshal and S.P. Balasubramaniam among others.
The VCDs and DVDs are economically priced at Rs. 99 and Rs. 199 respectively.

Yuvraaj music to release on October 1
The music of Yuvraaj will be released on October 1. Said a T-Series spokesperson, “We are proud of our association with showman Subhash Ghai for all Mukta Arts ventures. Since October 1 is an auspicious day, we decided to go in for the release on that day.”
Yuvraaj is produced and directed by Subhash Ghai and stars Mithun Chakraborty, Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Zayed Khan and Jawed Sheikh. A R Rahman tunes lyrics by Gulzar.
