When Govinda and Salman Khan got together with director David Dhawan for Partner they delivered a hit. The same team will be seen together in Sony’s 10 Ka Dum. The celebrity episode this Friday, July 25 has Salman and Govinda ragging David Dhawan about his films, weight and pot belly. They also take credit for all his hit. But David too gives it back with “I have to deal with one hero who is known for his latecoming and the other who turns up at the studio but refuses to make an appearance on the set!” Both Govinda and Salman took that without any protest. But Govinda had the last word in support of his buddy Salman. “Salman comes on time only on one occasion - when someone is in distress!” After all it was Salman who was instrumental in bringing him back from the red. To one of the questions on the show “What percentage of Indians did not understand the announcements on railway stations”. Govinda promptly admitted that he did not understand even those made at airports! But like a true politician he took the opportunity to say that at least he ensured that more trains were running to the distant suburb Virar and that people were travelling in more comfort. He obviously has not visited a station or taken a train to Virar in recent times to know that people are forced to clamber on to roof-tops only because there is not even space for a toe-hold on those trains.

Weighty issue
Actor Samir Sharma recently had some ‘weighty’ issues to deal with during the shoot of his show Veeranwali on 9X when he was required to carry his co-star in his arms for three days continuously. Samir, who regularly works out in the gym, grins, “I don’t think I missed my gym too much during those days. I was practically working out the entire day on the sets.” Not that he had a easy time doing the scene. The shoot got prolonged and Samir ended up with sprains and a muscle pull after that. “Looking back I feel it was an interesting and filmi experience,” he smiles.

Additi out of Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil
Ekta Kapoor’s latest find and hugely publicised actress, Additi Gupta has apparently been unceremoniously dumped from Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil.
It is rumoured that Additi had begun throwing huge tantrums off late such as reporting late for shoots and holding up the shoots with her wild demands.
Her character, Heer will be shown dying when Prem (Harshad Chopda), Heer (Additi Gupta) and the entire Juneja family get stuck in a storm in Ajmer.
When contacted Additi refused to clarify. “You have to speak to the creative director or the writer,” she said. The creative director of the show, Vikas confirmed that Additi was unable to give them the kind of time they required for the show. “If things get sorted out, she will be back if not we will be replacing her.” They have short-listed 2-3 girls and will soon take a decision on that.

Check his pic and you’ll know.

It's raining reality shows!
After a lot of debate, controversy, allegation and fights, the second season of Voice Of India is back with a difference. To play it safe after the voting controversy that happened last time at the grand finale of Voice of India between the two finalists Ishmit and Harshit, the format of the show has been altered this time around. Instead of having complete public voting, the organisers have decided to have 50 per cent voting by the audience and 50 per cent by the judges of the show. There are going to be 24 handpicked refreshing voices from the 24 states across the nation who will vie for the coveted title. Shaan is hosting the show again while the judges have been changed this time around. Ismail Darbar, Monty Sharma and Sukhwinder Singh will be judging the contestants.
