In September, Jackson's estate petitioned the court to approve the immediate release of the funds from the King of Pop's fortune to pay for the proceedings, reports People.

As per the paperwork, 855,730 dollars was owed to Forest Lawn Memorial Park & Mortuary, where Jackson was interred at a service attended by his whole family, close friends and many celebrities.

The Glendale cemetery charged 590,000 dollars for the Holly Terrace sarcophagus that holds Jackson's remains, as well as 88,500 dollars for endowment care, 25,000 dollars for the casket, etc.

His burial garments came to 35,000 dollars, while 175,089 dollars was spent on security.
