Aadesh launches music label
Aadesh Shrivastava announced his own music label Veecon Music recently. He is the first composer to start his own label.Wycleaf Jean, who was in India for a performance, Amitabh Bachchan, Randhir Kapoor, Abbas-Mustan, Manmohan Shetty, Ramesh Sippy, Shekhar Suman, Abhijeet, Sunidhi Chauhan and others were present at the launch.

Mumbai finale for Rock With Sonu
Big 92.7 FM presented the grand finale of its 5 City - Close Up presents Rock With Sonu concert in Mumbai on April 20 after rocking shows in Chandigarh, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore from April 16 to 19. Contest winners Manjira (Mumbai), Sulabh (Delhi), Samaayan and Adriza (Kolkata), Deepak (Bangalore) and Rohit (Chandigarh) entertained as they crooned Hindi film music hits.

Big FM RJ Rohit of Mumbai Much Much hosted the concert and Manjira was chosen the winner. The finalists had been selected after going through rigorous and meticulous rounds of on-air and on-ground auditions across all five cities. The winners in Mumbai was judged by singers Sonu Kakkar and Raja Hassan and music composer Shamir Tandon, followed by voting by the listeners of Big FM. The evening was a dream-come-true for these six talented youngsters who got the opportunity to share center-stage with Sonu Niigaam.

Prior to the concerts, all six regional winners went through a complete makeover session at a leading salon and a training session with Sonu Niigaam and Yaseen Darbar (brother of noted music-director Ismail Darbar).
