Starting a tad late by an hour, the contestants each spoke about their 'fun' experience on the show.
Richa Sharma, one of the strongest contenders for the title, says, "Two months on I can say it's a lot of fun. It's a different show, giving us enough space to show our versatility. The only directives given are that we should stick to the respective themes of each episode. I've not got such a chance before and am glad I took part in the show."
Controversial Kamal Khan who has seemingly been out of the limelight post his acting debut as villain in Jo Bole So Nihaal, said the programme had given him a second lease of life. "While I had been quietly doing playback for stars like Aftab Shivdasani, Arjun Rampal, and his other controversial cousin Salman Khan, I have largely been quiet about myself. This show has allowed me to experiment with my voice and sing for different genres. "
The most garrulous of the lot, Babul Supriyo said "I will make a Bangla in Mumbai like the other Bangla babus-Kishore Kumar and Bappi Lahiri-while singing in Hindi, not Bangla." Talking about the show he said other shows had reality bytes, in this show, the reality bites you! It gives a chance to singers to walk into your drawing room, and why not - when actors, cricketers and even dogs already have," he quipped. Commenting on his tiff with Sonu Nigam, Babul said he had moved on. "It is important for conflicts to happen. That's when it teaches you how to deal with the lighter part of life. I'm glad I had the courage to face conflict for on its other side is freedom. But I must say, I've buried the hatchet with Sonu. Aadmi hoon aadmi se pyar karta hoon," came his tongue in cheek reply.
As for Richa Sharma, the frankly not only admitted to being a hot favourite for the top slot but wanting to win the same too. I would surely like to be there till the end. There are no time warps between performance and appreciation in this show. You get the results immediately.
