There are no love songs in Krazzy 4, only item numbers. With Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Rakhi Sawant shaking their legs, the songs are nevertheless gliding up the charts, but music director Rajesh Roshan admits they did not come easy. “The film is a funny satire and therefore item songs were required, but they are not really my genre,” says Rajesh, about the film that stars Juhi Chawla, Arshad Warsi and Irrfan Khan. While Khan, now a veteran in item numbers, wears a ponytail in the groovy title track, and Sawant mellows down in Dekhta hai tu kya, this is Hrithik’s debut as an item boy. But he did a little more than just dance to uncle’s music. “Hrithik really knows the flavour of the season and what youngsters like to listen to and he guided me,” says Rajesh, who is believed to save the best of his tunes for brother Rakesh Roshan’s productions.
