It was celebration time for the Kapoor clan when the lover boy of yesteryears Rishi Kapoor bagged the Lifetime Achievement Award while his son Ranbir Kapoor got the Best Male Debut Award for film Sawariya.

Dimple Kapadia presented the Lifetime Achievement award to Rishi Kapoor.

A R Rahman was adjudged the Best Music Director for film Guru, while Shreya Ghosal got the Best Playback Singer (Female) award for the same film.

Shaan got the Best Playback Singer Male Award for film Saawariyan while its music director Monty Sharma got the R D Burman award for promising music talent.

Prasoon Joshi was adjudged the best lyricist for song Maa from Taare Zameen Par while Imitiaz Ali got the Best Dialogue Award for his romantic comedy Jab We Met.
