The attractive Pia Trivedi dances her way into Bollywood in a special number with Abhishek Bachchan in Mission Istaanbul

Launch
My launch pad is a special song called Nobody like you in Mission Istaanbul choreographed by Rajiv Goswami. Many may think that it is a wrong move but I think a song with Abhishek Bachchan, that too requiring me to do some intricate dance movements will showcase me in a great way. It is sure to open more avenues for me in tinsel town.

Casting coup
Apoorva Lakhia the direbrctor of MI saw me on Get Gorgeous on Channel [V] and got in touch with me. When I went to meet him he explained the concept of the number to which I immediately said yes. I had worked with Abhishek before in a song in Bluffmasterr! but there I was only one amongst several dancers. This is filmed on Abhi and me.

Stepping stone
I always dreamed of entering the glamour world as I was inspired by my sister Binal Trivedi a model. Soon after I completed Standard XII, I walked the ramp for the Lakme Fashion show and have been modelling for the last six years. I was also a VJ for Channel [V] and featured twice in the Kingfisher calendar.

First shot
Matching steps with him in close proximity and getting my steps right was quite unnerving for me on the first day. But Abhishek quickly put me at ease and the shot was okayed in three takes.

Stumbling block
My sister was already a part of the glamour world, and was always there to guide me and prevent me from making mistakes. Then Reshma Shetty from Matrix took me under her wing. I have been lucky, as till now things have been sailing smoothly.

Lesson learnt
A big lesson I have learnt is to be patient! Films have a wide canvas and there are so many things to be looked into. If one has the patience to hang around then one can go a long way.

Matinee idol
I admire all the Khans but love the way Aamir Khan goes about his work and his views on acting . I read somewhere that he told his nephew, Imran that he should travel from Jammu to Kanyakumari rather than go into an acting school and he'll learn more about the profession.

Future plans
The promos of my song are already on air, and I have got a fantastic feedback. I may have kicked off my career with a special number, but it is scripts with good parts that I have on my plate rather than songs.
