It may be interested to know that Waheeda Rehman was introduced as a heroine by NT Rama Rao in his film Jaya Simha in which he was the hero. The other pivotal role was played by the famous heroine of the times, Anjali Devi.
Waheedaji is the right person to be elected and honoured. Later on, she made a name and fame in Hindi films. Her performances in Solva Saal, Pyaasa, Kagaz Ke Phool, Chaudhvin Ka Chand, Prem Pujari, Ram Aur Shyam, Neel Kamal, Teesri Kasam and Dharti are living testimonies of her versatile talent. Waheeda Rehman recently acted with ANR in a Telugu movie Chukkallo Chandrudu in which ANR and Waheeda acted as grandparents to Siddharth who was the hero of the film.
