Twenty seven-year old Goody, a mother of two, said: "I'm terrified my cancer has spread and I'll die in my 30s."
Goody, who is preparing for a hysterectomy next week, was fully briefed on her condition by doctors on Wednesday.
"It was even worse than I was expecting," Jade was quoted in the Daily Mirror as telling a close friend.
"They told me about the worst case scenario -- where I might not even survive 10 years. I'm all over the place. I can't stop crying."
Goody's publicist Max Clifford confirmed the report, saying: "She's very frightened and upset."
Before starting chemotherapy and radiotherapy, Goody will have an exploratory operation to find out if the cancer has moved to any other parts of her body or her blood.
Jade's form of cervical cancer has a 90 per cent survival rate if it has not spread.
Goody was at the centre of allegations of racist bullying against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty during the British reality show Big Brother last year.
She was diagnosed with cancer while appearing in the Bigg Boss-II show in an Indian television channel recently.
