"I have developed fever and an inflamed chest," the Bollywood icon informed fellow bloggers on his latest blog post from the United States.

Bachchan, along with son Abhishek, daughter-in law Aishwarya, Ritesh Deshmukh and Preity Zinta, has already performed in Toronto and Trinidad as part of the concert.

The US leg of the tour is scheduled later this week where he will be joined by Madhuri Dixit.

The actor wrote that he has successfully managed all attention towards him. "The wife, the children, the staff, the production and the concerned bloggers!! each one has their own home grown remedy for my ailment. I have often wondered at this. Generation through generation, grandmother through grandmother, these medicinal and non-medicinal treatments have kept travelling," he said.

About the suggestions he is getting, Big B says, ‘hot towel on the face and nose, ginger in honey, salted tepid watered gargle, turmeric in milk, starve the fever, rest, do not strain, sprinkle eucalyptus on pillow’.
