BIG Music announces Ticket To Stardom world tour

Consolidating its position as the country’s most innovative music creation, aggregation and distribution company, BIG Music has announced Ticket To Stardom, a mega world-tour and a one-of-its-kind initiative featuring promising singers, Aishwarya Mazmudar, winner of Star Voice Of India Chhotey Ustaad, Ishmeet Singh, winner of Star Voice Of India and Anvesha, Abhaas, Toshi, Harshit and Sumitra, all finalists of these two shows. Ticket To Stardom will include a music album and music video that will be produced under the label of BIG Music apart from the world tour across 34 cities in 3 continents.
Kickstarting from May 2008, the destinations of the tour include prominent cities in India, Europe, USA, Middle -East and South-East Asia. The debutant singers will get an ideal platform to get exposure and ultimately make an international debut with this coveted tour. Announced at the star-studded finals of Amul Star Voice Of India Chhote Ustaad recently held at Mumbai, this opportunity being extended to the finalists and the winners is beyond the tradition of realty shows on Indian television where a winner goes home with only an album.
Announcing the landmark initiative, Kulmeet Makkar, CEO of BIG Music & Home Entertainment said, “Ticket To Stardom will pave the path for these upcoming stars to showcase their talent on a larger global platform. This is beyond a single album association.”
In addition to this a music album comprising of tracks sung by all the finalists is being produced by Big Music. Renowned music director Pritam will compose a track for the debut album with the winners.

Home Video of Jodhaa Akbar
Jodhaa Akbar, a co-production between UTV Motion Pictures and Ashutosh Gowariker Productions is being released on BIG Home Video. This comes close on the heels of UTV’s last Home Video release, Welcome, The organization is becoming increasingly aggressive with many high-profile acquisitions and releases.
Released across 26 countries in the USA, Europe, Asia and the Middle- East, Jodhaa Akbar has raked in a gross box-office of more than 125 crores worldwidetill date. Says UTV Motion Pictures CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur, “UTV and AGPPL are proud to have produced a once-in-a-lifetime film and are happy to collaborate with BIG Music & Home Entertainment to ensure that Jodhaa Akbar’s home video reaches out to the widest audience.”

T-Series-Percept’s Aashayein
T-Series and Percept Picture Company’s first joint venture Aashayein stars John Abraham. The film was unveiled at a Mumbai suburban restorbar on April 29. Divya Khosla Kumar and Tulsi Kumar along with Ajay Kapoor of T-Series, Shailendra Singh of Percept Picture Company, and actors Farida Jalal, Anahita Nair and Sonal Sehgal were present. The film’s music has been composed by Salim-Sulaiman.
