Ayya Vazhi on spirituality
Writer, producer, director P.C. Anbazhagan is coming up with a spiritual saga - Ayya Vazhi - a socio-mythological with newcomers in the lead under his Vaikuntha Cine Films banner. Recently he held an audio release function at the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce preview theatre. Veteran M.S. Viswanathan released the CDs and singer K. J. Viswanathan said that he found ‘good meter, matter and melody in Bhagavathy Sivanesan’s music from the film and he has a bright future in Tamil cinema’. Lyricist Pulamai Pithan lamented about the Tamil pronunciation by the present crop of singers and also took a dig at the remix songs that are literally ‘murdering the beauty of the original’.
Without naming Rahman he said that he was disturbed by the way this talented music director of International fame has butchered MSV’s classic composition, Ponmagal Vanthal with its remix version in the recent Azhagiya Tamil Magan. “I hope besides the music school, he will also start teaching Tamil lessons,’ he said. Ayya Vizhi is slated for a release soon.
