Channel [v] has started a new game show Bingo [v] Full On, which promises to be the craziest, wackiest and the most insane game show on Indian television. The channel has handpicked participants to test their I.Q. (insanity quotient). Cool dudes into rock-climbing, football, para-sailing, trekking, go-carting and even bhangra, who have the fire in their bellies will run across treadmills, scuffle with mechanical boxing gloves, use their bodies as human bowling balls or navigate the spinning turntables of doom! Each successive week will see two teams fight it out in the ultimate battle for supremacy. This week, each three-member team will spar on the ‘Turntables of Doom’. The game will be made trickier each day by adding new twists and turns resulting in a crazier experience for the six participants. Speaking about the show, Saurabh Kanwar, the V.P. Content and Communication, Channel [v] said, “Full On! surpasses all standards of insanity ever portrayed on television before. We call it the IPL of television- Indian Pagalpanti League. For this show, besides youth focused promotion, we will also be exploring content innovation.” The two competing teams are hosted by VJs Juhi and Neil, followed by a set-based game with Lola Kutty, where viewers participate via sms.

It will also see Lilliput making a comeback in a pivotal role. The bi-weekly show is all set to be launched somewhere in mid-November and will be aired on Friday-Saturday, the slot is yet to be finalised. It remains to be seen if this will get the channel which is currently lagging behind, back into the reckoning.

These hosts will switch and swap over the course of the series. “This show is something I want to watch… it has no rules and no boundaries… and its only aim is to entertain. I’ve done a lot of different things in my life and career and the reason I want to be a part of Oye.. It’s Friday is because it is so excitingly unconventional,” says Farhan.

Auspicious shoot
Sony’s new fiction show, Meet Mila De Rabba, is based on a Punjabi family, started shooting in Punjab. To begin the shoot, the crew considered it auspicious to shoot with the Golden Temple in the backdrop. Since the show started with the traditional Punjabi wedding they wanted to start with God’s blessing and hence decided to can the episode near the temple considering they were in Amritsar. What’s more, once this shot was canned, the entire unit was charged up to shoot for 28 hours non-stop. Talking about the experience, Raza Murad said, “The emotions portrayed on the show are genuine and universal and above all we have God’s blessing as the whole experience of shooting the first episode was auspicious.”

Chicks on Flicks
PIX has launched a new show Chicks On Flicks, which will review the latest Hollywood releases in the country. Ira Dubey and Neha Sareen double up as movie reviewers. Speaking about the show, Sunder Aaron, Business Head, PIX said, “In India, as yet we don’t have a strong film critic duo that the public can rely on for reviews and ratings of English films. As movies get more expensive, the information will be very valuable and we expect Neha and Ira to become the film review pair that the nation turns to as its prime source for opinions, analysis and reviews on new films.” The show will feature reviews and ratings of the current English films that hit the theatres as well as the latest DVD releases. The show will be aired every Friday at 7.30 pm.

Good going
Bhanu Pratap Singh is the long-haired guy who was put down by his two female partners for not singing well enough and ended in near nervous breakdown when he was rejected. The guy was given a second chance by the judges and made it to Mumbai. Now, he is slowly making his presence felt. His confidence is soaring and his singing has taken everyone by surprise. As a result the dark horse (Bhanu Pratap) was the only one to receive the Silver Coin awarded to the best performance of the day on Diwali from the judges. Kailash Kher believes that Bhanu Pratap Singh is destined to make history on Indian Idol. Last year’s winner Prashant Tamang too had faced rejection with his partner refusing to sing with him in the theatre round. Ironically, his partner was eliminated in the first round and Prashant went on become the Indian Idol.
