In Harihar Nagar, the laugh-riot that was released in 1990, finds a sequel in 2 Harihar Nagar, a film that is definitely worth a watch. Lal, who was one of the directors of In Harihar Nagar as part of the Siddique-Lal duo, turns an independent solo director with 2 Harihar Nagar. Lal deserves to be appreciated for having lived up to expectations and for having delivered an entertainer worth watching, along with family. Mahadevan (Mukesh), Govindankutty (Siddique), Appukuttan (Jagadeesh) and Thomas Kutty (Ashokan), the four young friends of In Harihar Nagar come together once again in the same Harihar Nagar where they had gone after a girl called Maya and tried to woo her. The four friends, who are now not-so-young - three of them are happily married - and also well-settled in life, come together for the marriage of the fourth, Thomas Kutty. And in the days preceding the marriage, they decide to spend their time together, reliving the past as much as possible. And once again they come across Maya, this time another Maya. And there starts a new story - of going after the girl, of getting trapped in some big problems and of tackling the problems in their own style.
