Neelam
 It wouldn’t be inaccurate to describe Neelam as a veteran of TV countdown shows. After her first foray onto the small screen with BPL Oye, she went on to do Philips Top Ten and then the extremely popular Bakeman’s Ooh La La in which she is seen in different avatars every week, from a Chinese cook to the Small Wonder robot to MTV VJ Sophia. She recently walked away with a Screen award for best countdown anchor, and is now busy working on the launch of her jewellery label. “It’s my dream to have a signature line of jewellery,” she says, as we sit in her new, lavishly decorated apartment in Khar. And if you’re looking forward to seeing Neelam in TV serials and such-like, think again. She’s going to stick to countdown shows for a simple reason: because she’s sure that lots of people watch them. The next time you see her acting will be on the big screen, in Sooraj Barjatya’s next —Hum Aapke Hain Saath— about which Neelam chirps, “I couldn’t have asked for better!”
