Refugee nets 96% in Mumbai
THE pre-release hype and the fact that the film had a new lead pair in Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor, whom the audience wanted to see, has helped the film do well in all the centres except a few. Yet, trade circles are sceptical about whether the film will become a hit, judging from the general opinion of viewers. There seems to be a consensus on the fact that the film is too long, by at least 15 minutes. At three and half hours duration, the film can do with some editing. It is too early to predict whether the film will sustain itself in coming weeks.

Refugee

THE first week collections in Mumbai came to 96 per cent but in Delhi it was 82 per cent and in Allahabad, 95 per cent. However, its collections in Bhuj was 100 per cent and 95 per cent in Aligarh and 69 per cent in Hardwar. 92 per cent in Jaipur and 80 per cent in Nagpur. On its first three days it netted 100 per cent collections but subsequently the collections took a tumble.

PRANLAL Mehta’s Nana Patekar-starrer has not picked up as its collections in Mumbai came to a mere 38 per cent in Mumbai in the second week, 30 per cent in Delhi, 42 per cent in Calcutta, 23 per cent in Akola, 25 per cent in Bhopal and 20 per cent in Jaipur. That’s a huge disappointment after the promising first week.

Joru Ka Ghulam

Kya Kehna!

The opening was good, but subsequently, its collections appear to be coming down. Word of mouth publicity does not seem to be particularly good for the film.
