Karobaar first copy out
The first copy of Karobaar, being directed by Raakesh Roshan, was out last week from Film Center. The film stars Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Rishi Kapoor, Asif Sheikh and Tinu Anand. Being made under the banner of T.V.M. International, the film has music by Rajesh Roshan and is scheduled for July 21 release all over. The film is presented by B.S. Dogra for producer Gava.

Maa Tujhe Salaam in Kulu Manali
Producer Mahendra Dhariwal and director Tinu Verma and the entire unit of Indian Movies Maa Tujhe Salaam left for Kulu Manali on June 25 for a 20-day marathon shooting schedule. Many romantic, dramatic and two songs will be shot on two huge sets erected at Kulu Manali. The film stars Sunny Deol, Arbaaz Khan, Tabu, Mohan Joshi, Prithvi, Sharat Saxena, Nawab Shah, Sachin Khedekar, Avtar Gill, Ali Khan, Rana Jung Bahadur, Jeetu Verma, Deep Dhillon, Anil Nagrath, Sheela Sharma, Sudesh Berry and Tinu Verma himself. Based on a story by Tinu Verma and Satu Patel, the film has screenplay by Shyam K. Goel, dialogues by K.K. Singh, cinematography by Raju Kaygee, editing by Sanjay Sankla, sound by Rakesh Ranjan, art by Sameer Chanda, action by Tinu Verma, lyrics by Sameer and music by Sajid-Wajid.

Dil Bhi Kya Cheez Hai in Mauritius
The entire unit of Kush Internationals’ Dil Bhi Kya Cheez Hai left for Mauritius on July 1 for a 15-day marathon shooting schedule to shoot three songs. The film stars Vinay Anand, Sanober, Milind Gunaji, Akansha, Smita Jaykar, Anang Desai, Sushma Seth, Satyen Kappu, Pramod Moutho, Asrani, Paintal, Raju Shrivastav, Bharati Achrekar, Shashi Kiran, Indrajeet Singh, Bobby with Sikandar and Salma Agha. The film being directed by cinematographer Lawrence D’Souza for producer Pappu Verma, has story-screenplay by Masud Patel and Anwar Shah, dialogues by Talat Rekhi, choreography by Habiba Rehman and Jojo, sound by Narendra Shinde, action by Masud Patel, art by R. Varman, editing by Sanjay Verma, lyrics by Sameer and music by Ram Shankar. After this schedule, the entire shooting of the film will be complete.

Ramesh Sharma signs Aftab and Nadeem-Shravan
Producer Ramesh Sharma has signed Nadeem-Shravan to score music for his next, Prod. No.6, to be directed by Tinu Anand. Aftab Shivdasani has also been signed to play one of the male leads in the film. The title and other cast and credits are under finalisation.

Prakash Mehra’s next
Prakash Mehra Productions has signed a very big name to direct their next project, which launches Sumeet Mehra, the eldest son of Prakash Mehra.

The film will have story-screenplay-dialogues by Honey Irani. Further details of the project will be announced in August and the actual shooting of the film will begin later this year.

Sharad Kapoor in M.K.D.’s next
Sharad Kapoor has been signed to play an important role in M.K.D. Films’, Prod. No.6 yet untitled, to be directed by David Dhawan. The film is being produced by Kanchan Ketan Desai and Ketan Manmohan Desai is the associate producer. A Manmohan Desai presentation, the film stars Salman Khan, Ameesha Patel, Anupam Kher, Rati Agnihotri, Paresh Rawal and Rishi Kapoor. Story-screenplay by Yunus Sajawal and Imtiaz Patel, dialogues by Rumy Jaffrey, cinematography by K.S. Prakash Rao and art by R. Varman are the other majr credits of the film. Prakash Pange is the executive producer for the film.

Aaghaaz complete
Barring two songs to be picturised, producer Dr. D.Rama Naidu and director Yogesh Ishwar have completed the entire shooting of Suresh Productions’ Aaghaaz (The beginning). During the last 13-day shooting schedule completed on June 23 in and around Hyderabad and Rama Naidu Studios, entire cast of the film comprising Sunil Shetty, Sushmita Sen, Namrata Shirodkar, Anupam Kher, Johny Lever, Sharat Saxena, Gulshan Grover, Mukesh Tiwari, Govind Namdeo, Asrani, Aloknath, Shraddha Nigam, Asha Sachdev, Padmini Kapila, Nupoor, Rakesh Bedi, Akshay Anand, Viju Khote, Rajesh Puri, Anjan Srivastava, Shiva, Yunus Parvez, Rajendra Mehra, Dev Malhotra, Ishwar Patel, Swadesh Mahan, Sheikh Shami, Mangal Kenkre, Rakesh Srivastav, Vilas Shinde, Ehsaan Khan, Upma Srivastav, Seema Pandey, Dinyar Tirandaz, Manoj Joshi, Achyut Potdar, Narsingh Yadav, Roshan Tirandaz, Sharad Kapoor, Suman Rangnathan, Parmeet Sethi and Sudhir Dalvi (playing a special appearance) participated. The film has music by Anu Malik, lyrics by Sameer, story by Posani Krishna Murali, screenplay by Nikhil Saini, dialogues by Kamlesh Pandey, cinematography by Shyam K. Naidu, art by Sharmishtha Roy and dances by Chinni Prakash and Ganesh Acharya.

Major stint of One Two Ka Four completed
Producer Nazir Ahmed and director Shashilal K. Nair completed a marathon 19-day shooting schedule for Glamour Films’ One Two Ka Four on July 1. During the stint, an elaborate action packed climax was shot in Mumbai Flying Club, N.S.E. Complex (Goregaon) and Ballard Pier. Action director Mahendra Verma picturised some breath-taking sequences on Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, Nirmal Pandey alongwith a number of kids and stuntmen. The film also starring Jackie Shroff, has music by A.R. Rahman, lyrics by Majrooh Sultanpuri, cinematography by S. Kumar, art by Nitin Desai and editing by Hussain Burmawala.
