Born on 4th October 1978, Soha Ali Khan was born into royalty as she is the daughter of the Nawab of Pataudi and eminent cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and noted actress Sharmila Tagore, who is a distant relative of Rabindranath Tagore. She is also the sister of actor Saif Ali Khan.

She studied in the British School in Delhi and graduated in history from the Oxford University. She has a Masters in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Sciences. Before joining films she worked in the field of investment banking.

Soha made her Hindi film debut with Dil Maange More in 2004 in which she starred with two other actresses. She has also received critical acclaim for the Bengali movie Antar Mahal in 2005. However, her film Rang De Basanti in 2006 won her both critical acclaim and commercial success.

In 2007, she marked a career milestone by working with acclaimed director Sudhir Mishra in Khoya Khoya Chand. She is working with him again in Tera Kya Hoga Johnny which is still under production.

Although usually associated with either sweet or traditional or a realistic image, she recently posed as the steamy cover girl for the men’s magazine Maxim with the tagline ‘Soha Ali Khan sheds inhibitions and clothes’.
