It was always pre-decided by everyone on the day Ranbir was born that he was going to be an actor.
The great-grandson of Prithviraj Kapoor, and born to popular actors Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, Ranbir believes that there is a sense of confidence about belonging to a film family, feeling that you know more about cinema.
So when he got the opportunity to work with one of the most reputed director in the film industry, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who also happens to be Ranbir's favorite director, it was like a wish waiting to come true. And then Saawariya happened. The film didn't do well at the box-office, but the sincerity in Ranbir's performance did not go unnoticed. And he earned himself the Best Debutant Actor at most of the award functions.
The audience recently saw him romancing 3 girls in his new movie, Siddharth Anand's Bachna Ae Haseeno, for which he received mixed responses.
Having attended Lees Strasburg, Ranbir doesn't believe in its' methodical approach towards acting, which he thinks makes an actor very performed, taking out the spontaneity in him.
He rather thinks of acting as a process, and that filmmaking requires a marriage between the director and the actor.
Ranbir is also filming for two films simultaneously including Rajkumar Santoshi's Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani opposite Katrina Kaif as well as Wake up Sid, where he will be seen with Konkona Sen Sharma.
