Asin Thottumkal was born in Kochi, Kerela on 26 October, 1985 and is popular actress. Asin was born in a Roman Catholic family. Her father was an entrepreneur before he started managing her career. Asin’s mother is a surgeon and currently resides with Asin in Mumbai.

Asin made her debut in a Malayalam film ‘Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka’ when she was just 15 years old. Asin received her first commercial success with a Telegu film, ‘Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi’, for which she won Best Telegu Actress. She received another award for Best Actress for her role in Tamil ‘Ghajini’ in 2005 which proved to be her biggest commercial success to date.

Recently, Asin made her debut in Bollywood with the Hindi version of ‘Ghajini’ opposite Aamir Khan. She won Best Hindi Debut Award for this performance. Her upcoming film’s include Vipul Shah’s ‘London Dreams’ alongside Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan. She plays a member of a five troupe band in this movie. She is also part of Bharat Bala’s ‘19th Step’ opposite Kamal Hassan and Tadanobu Asano. She plays the role of an Indian Princess in this trilingual project.
