BROTHERS Sri Adhikari Brothers was established in 1987. It all happened when Gautam Adhikari who was a creative person in the field of advertising decided to branch out on his own. Brother Markand Adhikari who was a student of Art from the JJ School of Arts decided to team up with him and together they started making ad films. Next they decided to diversify into programming for television under the banner Sri Adhikari Brothers. The banner’s first baby was a Marathi serial Bandini, on Mumbai DD, which was immensely popular with the Mumbaites. This was followed with many more, 14 to be precise, regional serials both in Marathi and Gujarati. Soon, they become a household name and after Zee and DD Metro happened the Brothers haven’t looked back. With nine serials currently on air and more in the offing Gautam and Markand have emerged as a formidable duo in the software industry.
