Govinda Jhatka RemixesGOVINDA JHATKA REMIXES— Times Music, Rs. 55
A fun album all the way which is sure to click in a big way simply because most of the Govinda numbers are hits. Added to that is the fact that they have been remixed quite well to give it the punch or jhatka as some would like to say. Miko and DJ Russell have infused new sounds in popular songs of the mass-hero like Meri pant bhi sexy, Oye makhana, It happens only in India, Stop that, Main to raste se and Kisi disco mein jaayen to name a few. The concluding track i.e. The jhatka mix is interesting. Makes for a good time-pass.

IntezaarINTEZAAR —Sony Music, Rs. 75
This album has a compilation of those sensitive and melodious pop numbers which convey the longing and waiting for the beloved. Meloncholy is the theme here and what you have is a right choice of numbers which touch your heart. Of the 12 tracks compiled here are Gumsum ho kyon by Shaan, the evergreen Lucky Ali hit O sanam, Euphoria’s Maaeri, Shubha Mudgal’s haunting Huna huna, Jagjit Singh’s Shaam se aankh mein, Ustad Sultan Khan’s Kate nahi raat and Alka Yagnik’s Saare sapne. Makes for sheer listening pleasure.

Channel [V] Request No. 1CHANNEL [V] REQUEST NO. 1— Universal, Rs. 125
The title gives an inkling that you get to hear the best of the best in this album. A superb compilation of 16 chart-busting international hits which also featured in Channel [V]’s Request No. 1. There’s Enrique Iglesias’ Rhythm divine, Aqua’s Around the world, Sonique’s It feels so good, Sisqo’s Thong song, Bryan Adams’ The best of me, Hanson’s If only and Billy Myers’ Am I here yet? to name a few. No recommendation needed for this one.

Released on the occasion of the 2600th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Mahavir, the album presents seven bhajans and ends with an aarti with the words Jai jai hey Trushalanandan in the voices of Ravindra Jain, Satish Dehra and Dilraj Kaur. One of the tracks, the opening one on the flipside, Mere Mahavir jhoole palana has been penned by Nirmala Jain and rendered by Hemlata and Pushpa Bannerji. The opening number of the audio, Vartamaan ko Vardhamaanki, has been sung by Ravindra Jain alongwith Satish Dehra.
The remaining bhajans are rendered by Ravindra Jain and include Mahavir Swami tumhara sahara, Karuna ke bhandaar, Mahavir ki moonga varni, Mahavir kaho and Virji ki sena chali. A must, not only for devotees but all lovers of devotional music.

NAVKAR MAHAMANTRA DHUN —Venus, Rs. 28
A continuous chant of the Navkar Mahamantra, Om namo Arihantanam, Om namo Siddhanam, Om namo Aayriyanam..... fills both the sides of this devotional album. The singer is Ruchi Jain and the composer Mahendra Singh Jodha. Aided by appropriate orchestral music, the singer has succeeded in sustaining listener interest throughout.
