Aaj Tak overtakes Zee in prime time viewership, says TAM report
News and current affairs channel, Aaj Tak has been showing an upswing in viewership ever since its launch on December 31, 2000. The channel’s prime time viewership has overtaken that of Zee News according to the latest TAM reports.

The audience share of Aaj Tak has gone up from 6 per cent at the time of launch to 31 per cent in less than two months according to the latest TAM reports. The viewership share has increased to 35 per cent in the Hindi speaking markets. Aaj Tak has managed to garner the maximum audience share among news channels during the prime band. The Prime Time share of Aaj Tak has overtaken both Zee News and Star news by scoring 40 per cent as against 32 per cent of Zee News and 14 per cent for Star News. Eight of Aaj Tak’s programmes are among the top 10 most watched news programmes in the country.
