Pyar To Hota Hai Pyar
Producer-director Mohan Baggad commenced another eleven-day shooting spell for his MM Movies’ Pyar To Hota Hai Pyar from March 15 at Bhaucha Dhaka. The third song and some romantic and dramatic scenes are being canned. Meanwhile a 23-day marathon shooting spell was concluded on March 8. Shot at Royal Farm, Kamalistan Studios, Royal Liner and various other locales of Mumbai, many romantic, dramatic, emotional and other thrilling and action scenes were canned. The film stars Abbas, Ashima Bhalla, Om Puri, Johny Lever, Reema, Vivek Shaque and Gulshan Grover. Manek Bedi features in a negative role for the first time. Being written by Rajeev Kaul and Praful Parekh, the film has dialogue by Madan Joshi, cinematography by Kaka Thakur, art by Sachi Roy, action by Mohan Baggad himself, sound by Pradeep Suri, editing by Ashok Srivastava, lyrics byt Sameer and music by Nadeem Shravan.

Sunny-Sunil-Shilpa starrer Karz
Director Harry Baweja and producer Kaushal Godha’s maiden venture Prod. No. 1 has been titled as Karz (The Burden of Truth). The film stars Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty, Shilpa Shetty, Ashutosh Rana, Sayaji Shinde, Hemant Birje, Shahbaaz Khan, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Rajeev Verma, Kiron Kher and Johny Lever. Being written by Anees Bazmee, the film has cinematography by Yogesh Jani, choreography by Rekha Chinni Prakash, action by Tinu Verma, sound by Narinder Singh, art by R Varman, editing by Kuldeep Mehan, lyrics by Sameer and music by Sanjeev Darshan.

Sarhad rolls
Divine Entertainment Limited Presentation’s and producer Sanjay Roy’s, Sarhad was launched on March 3 at the massive set erected at the expanse of Hotel Horizon, Juhu, with a week-long shooting stint. The films stars Chandrachur Singh, Mahima Chaudhary, Sharad Kapoor, Puru Raj Kumar, Isha Kopikar, Sheeba, Mohnish Bahl, Mukesh Rishi, Alok Nath, Sayaji Shinde, Sri Lekha, Aushim Khetrapal and Raj Babbar. Being written by Abhijeet Ghatwan, the film has screenplay and direction by BB Mukherjee, action by Abbas, choreography by Bhushan Lakhandri, art by Sunil Singh, costume designing by Pawan Chabria, lyrics by Nitin Raikar and music by Jayanta Phatak. Bhushan Verma is the executive producer while Rajbans Singh is the production executive.

Aur Phir Ek Din...! rolls
Producer TP Aggarwal and director Akashdeep launched their Star Entertainments Pvt. Ltd’s next venture Aur Phir Ek Din on March 5, with a five-day shooting stint at Poonawala bungalow, Mukesh Mills and various other locales of Mumbai. Many dramatic, thrilling and other important scenes were canned on Chandrachur Singh, Sharad Kapoor, Tinnu Anand and Raj Babbar. The film also stars Raveena Tandon, Sheeba, Gulshan Grover, Johny Lever, Mukesh Tiwari, Bindu, Makrand Deshpande, Razzak Khan, Anupam Kher and Asha Saini. Story-screenplay by Rajeev Kaul and Praful Parekh, dialogue by Imtiaz Hussain, cinematography by Surendra M Rao, choreography by Saroj Khan, action by Ravi Dewan, art by Nitin Desai, sound by Bhaskar, editing by Aseem Sinha, lyrics by Dev Kohli and music by Jatin-Lalit are the other credits.

Tera Mera Saath Rahen
Producer NR Pachisia and director Mahesh Manjrekar started the third, a ten-day shooting schedule of Ratan International’s Tera Mera Saath Rahen from March 7 in Mumbai and Pune wherein many scenes were picturised on all the artists. Four songs of the film are already recorded. Starring Ajay Devgan, Sonali Bendre, Namrata Shirodkar, Shivaji Satam, Prem Chopra and Master Dushyant, the film has music by Anand Raj Anand, lyrics by Sameer and cinematography by Vijay Arora. Sunil Saini is the executive producer.

Last stint for Mastana
The last eight-day shooting spell of United Films Combine’s Mastana will begin in the mid-week of April. Meanwhile, director Parto Ghosh completed a five-day shooting spell of the film on March 9 at Film City and on locales of Mumbai wherein the pre-climax and war scenes were picturised on Govinda and Jackie Shroff and three hundred junior artistes. The film also stars Mahima Chaudhary, Arun Govil, Jaspal Bhatti, Anjan Srivastava, Tiku Talsania, Upasna Singh and Avtar Gill with Rambha making a special appearance. Being produced by Vasant Doshi, the film has story-screenplay by Ranbir Pushp, dialogue by Anwar Khan, lyrics by Dev Kohli, Maya Govind, Ibrahim Ashq and Nitin Raikwar, music by Rajesh Roshan, cinematography by Sameer Reddy, choreography by Rekha Chinni Prakash and Ganesh Acharya, action by Kala Singh, sound by Prakash and art by Ajit Dand. Kamlesh Doshi is the executive producer.

Priyanka Chopra makes her debut
Miss World-2000, Priyanka Chopra has been signed opposite Sunny Deol in director Anil Sharma’s The Hero, written by Shaktiman. The film will be shot on foreign locales. Meanwhile one more beauty queen is to be signed to play the second lead. Top music director and other cast and credits are yet to be finalised.

Producer Vashu Bhagwani has signed Vishwajeet Pradhan to play an important role in his new film, being directed by Ashu Trikha, starring Vinod Khanna, Arjun Rampal and Kareena Kapoor. Vishwajeet Pradhan also been signed by producer Jagdish Sharma for his next film being directed by Harry Baweja and starring Sunny Deol and Sunil Shetty.

Rajoo Srivastava in Rajshri’s next
Rajoo Srivastava has been signed to play an important role in Rajshri Production’s Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, being directed by Sooraj Kumar Barjatya. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Abhishek Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Pankaj Kapoor, Johny Lever, Himani Shivpuri and Vrijesh Hirjee, the film will have music by Anu Malik.

Meri Pyari Bahania ... due on April 13
MRM Film’s Meri Pyari Bahania Banegi Dulhania is all set for release on April 13. Being produced by Vijay Upadhyay and directed by Jayant Gilata, it stars Mithun Chakraborty, Rajeshwari Sachdeva, Sheena, Sindhu, Vishwajeet Pradhan, Sulbha Arya, Bhairavi Vaidya, Atul Parchure, Sanjay Singh, Satish Salagure and Indrajeet Sachdeva. Story by Cheran, screenplay and dialogue by Shekhar-Shailash, music by Madhu Burman and Goyal Burman, lyrics by Madan Pal, action by Prakash and editing by Deepak-Vilas are the other credits. The film is based on the Tamil super hit Porkalam.

Ek Raaz Mere Dil Main Hai
The first print of Cine Deep Production’s Ek Raaz Mere Dil Main Hai is out from Cine Labs. The film being readied for April/May release, and is produced and directed by Surinder Malhotra. It stars Jay Thakur, Sanjeevni Gupta, Anu Kashyap Sapna, Priya Kadam, Mac Mohan, Madhoo Bharati, Mahesh Raaj, Dinesh Hingoo, Rana Jung Bahadur, Raju Shrivastava, Yunus Parvez, Ankush Mohit, Surendra Pal and Ranjeet. Written by Dr. Balkishan Meuj, the film has lyrics by Soz Layalpuri and Kaivalya Shah, music by Gunwant Sagar and cinematography by Rajan Layalpuri.

Raat Ka Doosra Pahar
The entire post-production work of Havoc Film’s Raat Ka Doosra Pahar will be completed on March 16. The first print of the film will be out on March 25. Being readied for May release, the film is produced by Razaak Khan and Zubair Chouhan and directed by Rahman Shaikh. It stars Aman Sagar, Pooja Dadwal, Sahil Sudhakar, Soriya Khan, Mahesh Raaj, Mamta Chouhan, Kishore Bhanushali, Shakile Majid, Nisha Khan, Arshad Ansari, Birbal, Geeta Nishaad, Arun Mathur, Sameer Nanavaty, Bhoomika Patel, Hemant Birja, Razaak Khan and Kiran Kumar.

Sunm-The Silent Murders
The first print of Jaya Film’s Sunm-The Silent Murder was out on March 9 from Movie Labs. The film is produced by Niru and directed by Rakesh Sawant. It stars newfinds Soni Nathan, Ruchi, Manpreet and Rufi with Asrani, Abhay Bhargav, Harish Patel and Kiran Kumar. Written by Vijay Parityagi, it has lyrics by Shyam Raaj, music by Suman-Sudeep, cinematography by Manish-Jehangeer and action by Riyaz Sultan. The film is due for release in April all over.
