RAHUL BHATT

When the going gets tough, the tough gets going! That’s the motto of RAHUL BHATT who’s recently stepped into the big screen with Umesh Mehra’s Yeh Mohabbat Hai. A hot-shot model and Mr. Graviera Photogenic of 1997-98, he soon found that he was not satisfied just walking the ramp and smiling through commercials. It wasn’t very long after this that he signed a TV serial, Henna. The character of Sameer made him a household name. Born and brought up in Kashmir, Rahul is now busy with his debut film. It’s Big times ahead for the small screen star.

When did you first think of becoming an actor?
Since I was a knee-high brat.And I was confident I would make it big some day.

Do you believe in destiny?
I do. And I also believe that what happens happens for the best. So you should accept whatever comes your way.

What is your greatest passion in life?

Acting.I also love travelling. You can call me a gypsy on wheels...

How do you overcome depression?

I read the Bhagwad Gita. Getting depressed is part of everyone’s life. But the Gita helps you regain your peace of mind. However, I’m not really a very religious person either.

How do you react when you’re happy and with whom do you share your joys?

I’m generally happy all the time. I believe that you should embrace everything that life brings you with open arms.

Who’s your muse and mentor?

God. No one can take his place. On earth it is Umesh Mehraji. He has helped me a lot. He is gem of a person.

How important is music in your life?

Music drives me crazy. And I’m sure everyone in this planet loves music as much as I do..

How would you describe yourself in one word?

HUMANE.
