Baangdya Bhara filming completed
The entire filming of Anilkumar Productions’ Baangdya Bhara has been completed by director-writer-actor Jagannath Pasale in Kolhapur and its environs. The film is now undergoing post production in Mumbai and the makers are planning to release it in mid-March. Said to be highly hilarious, the story of the film revolves round a bangles seller and has a predominantly rural backdrop. Jagannath Pasale who has till now assisted in the writing and direction of several Marathi films, is entering the field of histrionics in a major role, that of a hero, for the first time. The heroine’s role has been enacted by Annapoorna, who had made a mark in an earlier film titled Sawai Havaldaar. In addition to direction, playing the male lead and writing the story, screenplay and dialogues, Pasale has also penned the lyrics, which have been set to music by Chandra-Vijay. Enacting other key roles in the film are Chetan Dalvi, Dinkar Inamdar, Asha Patil, Shobha Shiralkar, Ravindra Berde, Alka Inamdar, Rajshekhar, Bhalchandra Kulkarni, Priyanka Shetty, Shanta Tambe, Aswale Guruji and Suchita Moraskar. The director said that adding to the hilarity of the proceedings was a horse named Babanya. Cinematographed by Mangesh Sawant, the film has been edited by Vishwas-Anil. Audiography by Ashwin Vaval, art by Satish Bidkar and choreography by Magdum Shaikh are the other major technical credits.

Baiko Chukli Standwar: Mumbai stint
Ashta Siddhivinayak Chitra’s rollicking comedy Baiko Chukli Standwar has had its last 3-day filming stint at the Essel Studio in Mumbai last week. According to writer-director Bhaskar Jadhav, the story of the film has the urban as well as the rural backdrop. Being produced by Vijay Shinde, it stars Laxmikant Berde, Varsha Usgaonkar, Chetan Dalvi and Mohan Joshi. There are six songs in the film, written by Shrikant Narule and Bhaskar Jadhav and set to music by Nandu Honap. Cinematographed by Prakash Shinde, it is being edited by Vijay Khochikar. The writer-director indicated that after the present filming stint, the film would undergo post production in Mumbai and readied for early submission to the Central Board of Film Certification.


Tu Aahes Tari Kon? for early release

Prasun Bannerji Productions’ Tu Aahes Tari Kon? produced, written, directed and edited by Prasun Bannerji is scheduled for an early release in Pune. Miraj, Ashika, Jaya Mathur, Sandhya Pandirkar, Sangeeta Thakkar, Sulbha Mantri and Prasun Bannerji himself play key roles in the film, which has been cinematographed by Raju Vaidya. Music is by Datta D and Vitthal Shinde, who has also written the lyrics jointly with Laila Mahajan.
