AB Corp plans capital market foray
Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited (ABCorp) plans
to enter the capital markets by listing its shares through
a reverse merger route. Since ABCL is an unlisted company,
it will be merged with a listed shell company in order
to get its shares listed on stock exchanges. |

Narrow escape for Ghai, Hrithik
While picturising a song for Mukta Arts Yaadein
(starring Hrithik, Kareena Kapoor and Jackie Shroff)
in Langkawi, Malaysia, showman Subhash Ghai and Hrithik
Roshan had a narrow escape. The wooden staircase to
the dockyard, where they were standing, suddenly gave
way, and both Ghai and Hrithik fell into the water.
However, they were soon hauled into safety.

The final schedule for Ripples Picture Entertainments
Sunil Shetty starrer, Yeh Tera Ghar Yeh Mera Ghar is
now in progress in Mumbai and on foreign locales. Directed
by S Priyadarshan, the film will be released on May
11.

signs Esha
Producer GA Seshagiri Rao launched Padmalayas Tusshar-Esha
Deol starrer, Kya Dil Ne Kaha on February 18 at Hyderabad
with a 10-day shoot. The film, a Krishna presentation,
is being directed by Sanjay Chhel and has music by Himesh
Reshammiyya. |
Panini
to debut
Panini Raaj Kumar, son of the late Raaj Kumar, is to make
his debut as hero in Mumbai Masti, being made by Suneel
Khosla. Shoots for the film, produced under the banner
of Siddham Arts, are currently on in Mumbai. |
Rahul
music unleashed
The music of Mukta Arts Rahul which was shot in
less then three months was released at Hotel Sun-N-Sand,
Mumbai on February 16. Yash Fathak, the four-and-a-half
year old hero of Rahul released the first cassette. The
film, directed by Prakash Jha is presented by Mukta Arts
and Subhash Ghai. Lyrics by Anand Bakshi have been tuned
by Anu Malik and the cassettes have been released by Tips.

Dulal Guha no more
Veteran filmmaker, Dulal Guha passed away in Mumbai last
week, after a prolonged illness. He was 72 and is survived
by his wife, three sons and a daughter. Born in Bangladesh
in 1929, Guha arrived in Mumbai along with renowned filmmaker
Bimal Roy. Guha has several films to his credit, such
as Ek Gaon Ki Kahani, Chand Aur Suraj, Dushman and Sur
Sagar. |
