Dushmani
Suraj Prakash’s Dushmani, which is jointly produced by Manoj Chaturvedi and Ajit Singh and directed by Imran Khalid, was launched on December 11, with the recording of songs at Sahara, under the baton of music directors Nikhil-Vinay, which was followed by a ten-day musical spell. Penned by Jyothi Naidu and Vinay Bihari, the five songs were recorded in the voices of Udit Narayan, Abhijeet, Poornima and Sonu Nigam. Being made under the banner of Kareena Sanah Combines, the film stars Faisal Khan, Munish Kohil, Puru Raj Kumar and Raj Babbar. Mithun Chakraborty plays a important role in the film. Two more heroines are under finalisation. Being written by Meeraq Mirza, the film has cinematography by Lenin Xavier, action by Hanif and editing by Sanjay Sankla. It will mount the sets on January 3 at Ramoji Rao’s Film City Studio, Hyderabad with a non-stop marathon shooting spell.

Ek Hadsa
Producer Ajay Goswami and director Manas Ghosh launched Goswal Film Internationals’ Ek Hadsa on December 15 at Essel Studios with an initial five-day shooting spell held on different locales of Mumbai featuring all the artistes including Durgesh Nandini, Hemant Birje, Anjali Arora, Birbal, Kishore Bhanushali, Brahmachari, Tusigand, Sheeba and newfinds Vijay Kumar, Sujata Das, Soni Mishra and Ashok NG. The other credits are cinematography by Harish Patel, editing by Omprakash Malekar, story and screenplay by Rafique Khan, production design by Vikas Sharma, choreography by Agnes Hamilton and music by Bharat Sen.

ROLLS
Kaaboo
Khushi Films’ Kaaboo was launched on December 13 with a week-long shooting spell at Chetan Studios, Nagi Villa, Aksa Village, Film City and Jankidevi High School situated at MHADA, Andheri. Being produced and directed by Vicky Ranawat, the film stars Faisal Khan, Rajat Bedi, Nirmal Pandey, newfind Priyanka Mehta, Mushtaq Khan, Govind Namdeo, Vijay Golcha with Mahesh Joshi (Congress Minister of Rajasthan state) and Sayaji Shinde. Two more heroes and heroines are under finalisation. Being written by S Sachindra, it has cinematography by Naseer Khan, action by Heera Yaseen Khan, editing by Kuku and Cuckoo, lyrics by Naqsh Lyalpuri and music by Anchal Talesara.

Dafan
Producer-director-editor Jitendra Chawda’s Dafan went before the camera on December 16 with an initial five-day shooting spell at different locales of Mumbai wherein a song and many scenes are being picturised on Raza Murad, Deepak Shirke, Anil Nagrath, Shiva, Satnam Kaur, Poonam Das Gupta, Guru Bachan. Written by Basheer Babbar, it has music by Sawan Kumar Sawan, action by Riyaz Sultan, sound by Shafique and art by Anjani Tiwari. The film is being made under the banner of Ishwar Films.

SHOOTING
Kab? Kyon? Aur Kahan?
The unit of Triple Aar Movies’ Kab? Kyon? Aur Kahan? recently returned from Shimla and Kulu-Manali, after completing a 20-day marathon shooting spell wherein three songs were picturised under the supervision of choreographer Chinni Prakash. Many romantic and important scenes were also canned on Sanjay Suri, newfinds Sayed Zulfi, Reema Puri and Jaya Seal. The film also stars Sharad Kapoor and Arif Zakaria. Based on a screenplay by Shantanu Gupta, the film, being produced by Ramesh Sharma and directed by Anil Mattoo, has dialogue by Hriday Lani, cinematography by Sanjay Malvankar, action by Bhiku Verma, editing by Kuldeep Mehan, art by Gayatri Marwah, lyrics by Faaiz-Anwar and music by Nikhil-Vinay.

Inth Ka Jawab Patthar
Two songs and the climax of MS Movies Combines’ Inth Ka Jawab Patthar were canned during the 15-day shooting spell that completed on December 14 at Film City, Kamalistan, Chandivali and various locales of Mumbai. It stars Puru Rajkumar, Divya Dutta, Sudesh Berry, Vishwajeet, Deepak Shirke, Tej Sapru, Raju Shreshta, Anil Nagrath, Madhu Maheswari and Pramod Mautho. Written and directed by Mithu Singh for producer Devendra Singh, the film has dialogues by S Sachinder, action by Suresh Rao, sound by TK Kothari, dance by Dinesh Balraj, art by Lalit Nag, cinematography by FR Khan, music by Ram Laxman and lyrics by Shaheen Iqbal.

DUE FOR RELEASE
Saheed-E-Kargil
The first copy of Fair Deal Films’ Saheed-E-Kargil was out recently. The film is ready for release on January 26 all over. Starring Amit Pachori, Vijay Solanki, Sajeed, Vicky Mehra, Rajiv Raj, Ashish, Kiran Kumar, Raza Murad, Pramod Moutho, Shezaad Khan, Amrit Pal, Ali Khan, Mac Mohan, Vinod Tripathi, Renu Ratan, Dinkar Chowdhary and Mahesh Raj, it is produced by Farook. NEGATIVE CUTTING
Khoj
The negative cutting ceremony of Millennium Movie Makers’ Khoj was performed at the hands of CA Anil Shikri on December 12 at Adlabs, Mumbai. The film stars Dev Kailey, newfind Jai Lakshmi, Shakti Kapoor, Raza Murad, Mushtaque Khan, Shiva, Anil Nagrath, Muskan, Pratibha, Jack Gaud and Vikrant. Produced by DS Kalia and directed by Pabu Bahruz, it has cinematography by Manish Jehangir, music by Jeetu Tapan and lyrics by Dr. Deepak Sneh. Ravi Nair is the executive producer. It’s a Nasib Kaur and Kulwant Toor presentation.

DUBBING
Hum Angaare Hain
Producer Sheela and director Jeetendra Johri have completed the entire dubbing work for Swaroop Pictures’ Hum Angaare Hain on December 13 at Gitanjali Studios, Mumbai. During the current session all the artistes participated including Dharmendra, Ravi Kissen, Mohan Joshi, Shashi Chawla, Jaya Mathur, Shakti Kapoor, Lalit Tiwari, Rajendra Gupta and Razaak Khan. It has cinematography by Ashok Rao and editing by Sandeep Paul.

SIGNED
Dunk
Producers Ali Mohammed and Akram Jhunjhun have signed SU Sayyed to write and direct their Yes No Films’ Dunk. Govinda Raadhiya will provide the musical score for the film for which rest of the cast and credits are being finalised.

Lohe Ka Dil
Paro Films Internationals’ Lohe Ka Dil is eleven reels ready. Written, Produced and directed by Manik Patel, the film stars Dara Singh in a major special appearance alongwith Roshan Ali, Gopal Singh, Manisha Roopani, Kasturi, Archana Somi and Amit in the starcast. The final 15 days shooting schedule of the film commenced on December 20 at Ramoji Rao Studio and other locales of Hyderabad. Music director B. Shankar has already recorded all the six songs in the voice of Sure-sh Wadekar, Shabbir Kumar, Jaspal Singh, Hemlata and Sulakshana Pundit. After this schedule, the film will be complete. Cinematography by Bhawani, actions by Hussain Shetty, choreography by PA Saleem, lyrics by Poonam Jadhpuri-anikender and music by B Shankar are other credits.

Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai progresses
Rose Movies Combines’ Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai was shot in a 15-day schedule at Versova village, Mehboob Studios, Kamal Amrohi Studios and actor Ranjeet’s bungalow till December 6. Jackie Shroff, Abhishek Bachchan, Sushmita Sen, Rani Mukherji, Gulshan Grover and Sanjay Narvekar participated in tghe schedule. Written-directed by Goldie Behl and produced by Mrs. Madhu Ramesh Behl, the film has music by Adesh Shrivastav. Shrishti Behl is the executive producer.
