B4U
Music, movies on Pehla digital platform
Viewers in the Middle-East will now be able to subscribe to
the popular channels, B4U Movies and B4U Music through the
new satellite television platform "Pehla". Launched
by Arab Digital Distribution (ADD), the "Pehla"
package has been made available from September 14, 2000. Besides
the two B4U channels, the "Pehla" bouquet also consists
of ten other channels including CNN, Cartoon Network and the
STAR channels. B4U Cricket and other channels will be added
to the package soon.
Commenting on the occasion, Kishore Lulla, Chairman and CEO,
B4U Network Worldwide said, "B4U aims to reach out to
as many countries and pockets of the world. There has been
a great demand for the B4U Channels in this region. With our
strong programming content and library of movies we expect
to gain a large slice of the Asian viewing sector, which is
one of the largest ethnic communities in the gulf. Our selection
of ADD is ideal since they have a very strong platform management
company in the Middle East.
The pricing of the bouquet is incredibly competitive and this
is an extremely exciting opportunity for all of us."
The "Pehla" package will be distributed across the
Middle East with the main focus on Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman,
The United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
which have an expatriate Asian community in excess of 5 million
potential viewers. There will be different subscription methods
- either purchasing or least to own the decoders and satellite
dishes and competitive pricing structure including annually,
bi-annually or even monthly payments.
