UTI to invest in Broadcast Worldwide
The Unit Trust of India has taken up Rs. 4.5 crores out of the Rs. 45 crores second round of financing of Broadcast Worldwide’s regional language television project. The first round of financing was completed in March this year.

The company is being assisted in its second phase of funding by Ashok Wadhwa of Ambit Corporate Finance Pvt. Ltd. UTI is the second institution to invest in the company in this phase, the first being a venture capital fund from Gujarat which has invested Rs. 5 crores already. Shares are being issued at a premium in this round of financing, which is likely to close by the end of this month.

Imaging Science now in Hindi
The highly popular English programme on DD News, Imaging Science, will also be telecast in Hindi in response to the demand of its viewers. The Hindi version of the programme will be aired every Tuesday at 9.00 am on DD1. The programme is anchored by Mahesh Bhatt and produced by Shally Suman Productions. Doordarshan felt that an informative and educative programme like this one should be in Hindi too, so that it could reach people in interiors of the country. The English version of the programme airs on DD News channel at 11.00 am on Saturday.
