Musical launch for Laxmi
A Lokhandwala Productions’ Laxmi was launched in Mumbai with the recording of five songs under the baton of music director Nazir Mahate. Written by Pravin Davane and Ramesh Anawkar, the songs were rendered by Vinod Rathod, Sadhana Sargam, Vaishali Samant, Tyagraj Khadilkar, Ravindra Bijur and Suresh Wadkar.
Being produced and directed by A Lokhandwala, the film stars Avinash Narkar, Aishwarya Narkar, Usha Naik, Mugdha Shah, Raju Shah and Dr Girish Oak. It will be cinematographed by Ratnakar Laad and edited by MS Shinde. Sunil Manjrekar is the chief assistant director.

Dubbing starts for Aai Shaktidevta
Dnyaneshwari Films’ devotional offering Aai Shaktidevta is fast racing towards completion. The filming being already over, the dialogue dubbing by artistes is now on in Mumbai and the film will soon undergo the rest of the post-production work. Directed by Pitambar Kale for producer Dr PY Koli, it stars Aishwarya Narkar, Pramod Shinde, Usha Naik, Surekha Kudchi, Shashank, Sheetal Jadhav, with Anchal Shanbhag in the title role. Lyrics by Jagdish Khebudkar have been set to music by Chandramohan. Pratap Gangavane has written the screenplay and dialogues, while Prakash Shinde has cinematographed the film.

Raju now in Kolhapur
After having enjoyed a successful run in Pune, SJ Films’ Raju is now all set for release at the Shahu cinema in Kolhapur during this month. The film, directed by Kanchan Nayak for producer Suhas Jog, who has also written the story, the film stars Master Pushkar in the title role. Enacting other major roles are Dr Mohan Agashe, Tushar Dalvi, Bharati Patil, Mitali Jagtap, Rajeshwari and Virendra Pradhan. Music is by Anand Modak.

Hey Khel Nashibache nears completion
Vishakha Chitra’s Hey Khel Nashibache (The games destiny plays), being directed and edited by VK Naik for producer Neelima Pal, is nearing completion with 8-9 days of filming remaining, inclusive of the picturisation of two songs. According to director-editor Naik, there are in all six songs in the film, all of which have been written by Jagdish Khebudkar and set to music by Anil Mohile. Written by Ramchandra Sadekar, the story revolves round a young tamasha dancer and her taxi driver husband. The respective roles are being essayed by Nishigandha Wad and Milind Gawali. Ramesh Bhatkar is also enacting a crucial role.
Being cinematographed by Prakash Shinde, the film has choreography by Subal Sarkar and his son Sagar.

Khatarnak: dubbing completed
The entire dubbing by the artistes of the Mahesh Kothare-directed and Vidya Bachhewar-produced action drama Khatarnak has been completed in Mumbai. The film stars Mahesh Kothare himself, Laxmikant Berde, Sadashiv Amrapurkar, Nutan Jayant, Aarti Chandorkar, Pramod Pawar, Avinash Narkar, Kishori Ambiye and Johnny Lever. Cinematographed by Sameer Athalye, it has music by Raam-Laxman.
