A
weak of low scores
THE two big releases of last week, Dhadkan and Deewane have
failed to evoke a big response despite the media hype. Considering
the distributors have paid a heavy price for the films, unless
they do substantial business, they may end up as duds at the
b-o. The openings of the two films were fairly good in some
centres, though not all.

98 per cent in Mumbai in the first week. In Delhi it collected
80 per cent, 85 per cent in Calcutta, 92 per cent in Hyderabad,
86 per cent in Solapur, 82 per cent in Jamnagar, 53 per cent
in Jaipur.
Justice Chowdhury

it was expected to. Its first week collections in Mumbai came
to 47 per cent.

Mumbai

This Week
Opening this Friday is the much-hyped Vashu Bhagnani movie,
Tera Jadoo Chal Gaya, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Kirti
Reddy. It has become a hot property in trade circles and has
generated a fair measure of hope.
Other films due for release are Band Kamre Mein and Murde
Ki Maut.
