Nadeem - Shravan
Light from the time Nadeem-Shravan made waves with Aashiqui, the spotlight had been on Nadeem, who constantly hogged the limelight with his impulsive outbursts, and contoversial statements. Shravan, on the other hand, was the quiet partner, content to be in the shadow of Nadeem, seconding his statements, and concentrating on work. The duo were going through the best phase of their career, hitting a new high with a series of hits and some great compositions in Subhash Ghai’s Pardes (for which they won the Screen Videocon award), when a sudden twist of fate turned things topsy-turvy for them. Nadeem was implicated in the Gulshan Kumar murder case while holidaying in London. Left to fend for himself, Shravan has been keeping a low-profile, trying to complete music for films he had signed with Nadeem earlier. Meanwhile, the duo's name has been deleted from the recently released musicassettes of ABCL's Saat Rang Ke Sapne, and they have been replaced by Anu Malik in Haseena Maan Jayegi.

At the crossroads of his life, the otherwise quiet composer, talked to Screen about his future plans, diplomatically warding off the controversial questions. All through the interview, Shravan kept referring to himself in plural, and insisted that the credits would always have the name as Nadeem-Shravan, proving that he has yet to come to terms with the absence of his boisterous partner.
